The 2nd World Congress of the IAOO
Oral Cancer: Imagine the Future. July 8-11, 2009

The second world congress was held at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto, Canada.

More than 710 Head and Neck Surgeons, Maxillofacial Surgeons, Otolaryngologists, Oncologists, Oral Pathologists and others in the head and neck cancer team congregated from around the world at the Second Congress of the International Academy of Oral Oncology (IAOO), despite the global recession and swine influenza pandemic. Coordinated by the President, Professor Jatin Shah (New York), and the Program Chairs, Alexander Rapidis (Athens and Eastman), Pat Guillane (Toronto) and Crispian Scully (Eastman). This Congress was a huge success. The Congress covered a multitude of topics representing subspecialist interests in the major sub-divisions of the field. The scientific program included keynote addresses, panel discussions, debates, instructional courses, oral papers and posters. The program was supported by a commercial exhibition, delegate receptions and a Gala Dinner at the Rogers Tower.

The International Academy of Oral Oncology (IAOO) symposium was held at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto, Canada, July 11, 2009, in association with MASCC (Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer).
